Frequently asked questions
A Professional Employer Organization (PEO) provides comprehensive HR (Human Resources) services to businesses. Key components include:
Co-Employment Relationship: The PEO and the client company establish a co-employment relationship, where both parties share certain employer responsibilities. The client maintains control over their employees' daily tasks, while the PEO handles administrative tasks related to HR management.
HR Services: PEOs offer a wide range of HR services, including payroll processing, benefits administration, HR compliance, workers' compensation management, recruitment and onboarding support, employee relations guidance, and more. These services are tailored to meet the specific needs of each client company.
Risk Management: PEOs help mitigate HR-related risks by ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. They also provide assistance with employee handbook creation, workplace safety programs, and handling of unemployment claims and workers' compensation issues.
Employee Benefits: PEOs often provide access to employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. By pooling together the employees of multiple client companies, PEOs can negotiate better rates and offer more competitive benefits packages.
Payroll Administration: PEOs handle payroll processing tasks, such as calculating wages, tax withholdings, and issuing payments to employees. They also manage payroll tax filings and compliance to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Recruitment and Onboarding: PEOs may assist with recruitment efforts by providing access to talent acquisition resources, conducting background checks, and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires.
Overall, partnering with a PEO allows businesses to outsource their HR functions and gain access to expertise, resources, and cost savings that may not be feasible to maintain in-house. This enables companies to focus on their core business activities while the PEO handles the administrative burdens associated with HR management.
We are partnered with network of 20 strong PEOs. This allows to find fits for a business in pretty much any situation. Our network has been carefully and strategically crafted. We have a set of standards of pricing, servicing, technology, and customer satisfaction. We only include PEOs that meet our standards in the network.
Expertise and Guidance: Our team specializes in the PEO industry and possesses in-depth knowledge of various providers and their offerings. We can guide you through the selection process, helping you understand the intricacies of different PEO services and how they align with your business needs. This expertise ensures that you make well-informed decisions that are tailored to your specific requirements.
Access to Multiple Options: As a broker, we have relationships with multiple PEO providers, giving you access to a wider range of options than you might find on your own. Instead of being limited to the services of a single provider, we can help you explore and compare offerings from various PEOs, ensuring that you find the best fit for your business.
Time and Resource Savings: Researching and negotiating with PEO providers can be time-consuming and resource-intensive. By leveraging our expertise and industry connections, you can save valuable time and resources that can be better allocated to other aspects of your business. We handle the legwork of vendor evaluation, negotiation, and coordination, allowing you to focus on core business activities.
Objective Recommendations: As an independent broker, we remain vendor-neutral and unbiased in our recommendations. Our priority is to find the PEO solution that best serves your needs, rather than promoting the interests of a specific provider. This ensures that you receive objective guidance and can trust that our recommendations are solely based on what's best for your business.
Ongoing Support and Advocacy: Our relationship with you doesn't end once a PEO partnership is established. We continue to serve as your dedicated advocate, providing ongoing support and assistance throughout your partnership with the PEO. Whether you have questions, or need assistance with vendor management, we're here to ensure that you have a positive experience and maximize the benefits of your PEO arrangement.
We started as a group benefits broker and formed strategic relationships with PEOs to help clients who were not a fit for the PEO Group Benefits Master Plan significantly reduce premiums and improve group benefit plans with open-market benefit solutions. While doing this, we became experts on the functionalities of a PEO. We also learned about the various PEOs in the market, and their different strengths and weaknesses. We found clients would often go towards a PEO because of the name and familiarity versus doing an in-depth market analysis and comparison of the market. We decided to merge our extensive expertise of group benefits and our PEO acumen to create PEO Sync. PEO Sync intends to assist clients in identifying PEOs that fit their unique servicing and administrative needs, while also saving them significant amounts of money on administrative costs and employee benefits costs. One key difference between PEO Sync and other PEO brokers is PEO Sync takes an extra step in ensuring that the client is truly in the best solution by providing an open market analysis. This specifically applies to the group benefits aspect of everything. While the PEO Group Benefits Master Plan can be the most competitive group benefit option for a company, often an “open market” group benefit solution is more competitive. It's extremely important to explore open market solutions as they could cause significant savings and plan improvement for a business. If an open market group benefits solution is more competitive, PEO Sync will perform a Group Benefit Carve Out and work with the PEO to manage and administrate the benefits. This truly gives clients the best of both worlds, as they can take advantage of the various functions offered by the PEO, while also being in an optimized benefits package.
Getting started with PEO Sync is easy. It starts with a 30-minute consulting to discuss your business needs, objectives, and preferences.
There are not upfront costs for our services. All quotes, comparisons, and analyses are done free of charge. Once implemented we get paid a Fee from the PEO. The fee amount is generally the same between PEO'S.
